The “Originator Certification” was created to assess and ratify as original and authentic new product concepts that have been successfully brought to market.
It was developed based on the results of the largest survey of consumer preferences on originality and in collaboration with relevant academic experts.
The Originator Certificate is given to original products evaluated through a transparent process that are deemed to have “substantial new utility.”
Our Processes
Our process is transparent and open to the public, who can see how the originator certification is awarded.

We have an independent oversight board that can review any ruling on appeal.
